The Northeast Asia Trade Tower (NEATT), South Korea’s tallest skyscraper, will be completed in mid-June, officials said Monday.

Construction of the 305-meter-high building in Songdo, Incheon, west of Seoul, had been suspended three times due to an exodus of investors since it began in August 2006.

NEATT, a major landmark tower of Songdo International Business District, was originally scheduled for completion in 2010.

After the Incheon Asian Games to be held from Sept. 19 to Oct. 4, about 1,000 employees of Daewoo International Corp., the first batch of occupants, will move into the NEATT, according to the secretariat of the Incheon Free Economic Zone in Songdo.

The high-rise building, built at a total cost of 50 million won, features the country’s tallest observatory on the 65th floor, among others.
