SEOUL -- Samsung Electronics will unveil its next flagship smartphone Galaxy Note 9 at an unpacking event in New York in August, the world's largest smartphone maker hinted through its news blog.
"On August 9, Samsung Electronics will welcome a new member to the premium Galaxy family," the company said In a post uploaded onto its news blog website on Thursday, without specifying which model will be introduced at the event. The post included an image and teaser video showing an S-Pen, the symbolic stylus pen for Samsung's phablet Note series.
"There are rumors that Samsung is preparing for the filming of commercial advertising for Note 9," an advertising industrial official told Aju News on condition of anonymity. The official said the exact release date has not yet been disclosed.
