SEOUL -- Samsung Electronics released a video of its durability test on Friday ahead of the release of its first foldable Smartphone "Galaxy Fold".
According to Samsung Electronics, Galaxy fold will go through a week-long process of checking the durability of its hinge design and foldable display in its "Reliability Lab."
The test is based on the assumption of the phone being folded and unfolded 100 times (182,500 times in total) daily over a five-year period.
To use a foldable Smartphone for a long time, there should be no distortion in the display and no scratches or marks should be left even after folding and opening it several times.
Meanwhile, Samsung Electronics will launch Galaxy fold in the U.S. on April 26 and in Europe on May 26.
