BTS concert at Wembley Stadium to be live-streamed through Naver's V Live

SEOUL -- BTS' concert on June 1 at Wembley Stadium, an iconic football stadium in London, will be live-streamed globally through V Live, a live video streaming service run by Naver, a leading web company in South Korea.

V-Live will sell live and video-on-demand replay of the concert for its 1,500 Coin or 33,000 won ($28.5) on April 26.

V Live allows Korean-based celebrities to broadcast live videos on the internet and live chat with fans from around the globe. Hundreds of K-pop stars use V Live to reach a global audience. It has allowed non-Korean speaking fans to intimately interact with K-pop stars. There is an online community on V Live for fan translators who create foreign subtitles.

BTS is the first K-pop act to go on a global stadium tour, which has been reserved selectively for top artists. The tour of concerts at big stadiums in Los Angeles, Chicago, New Jersey, Sao Paulo, London, Paris, Osaka and Shizuoka will begin on May 4. Tickets have been sold out.

Wembley Stadium, with a capacity of 90,000 seats and 15,000 standing audience, is a place with symbolic meaning in the global music industry. The stadium is well known for concert venues for selected musicians including a 1985 benefit concert by Queen and other popular musicians. Queen's Live Aid performance at Wembley was depicted in the latest global hit movie "Bohemian Rhapsody".
